This Privacy Policy explains how Gridiron Career ("we", "us"), available at gridironcareer.com, handles information when you play the game. We designed the game to work without accounts and to collect as little information as possible.

1. Information stored on your device

The game saves your progress (your player, career and stats) and your rankings in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device. We do not receive it, and it is not linked to your identity. You can delete it at any time by clicking "New Career" in the game or by clearing your browser's site data.

2. No accounts and no personal information

You do not need to register or provide your name, email address or any other personal information to play. The player name you type is fictional, stays on your device and is never sent to us.

3. Third-party services

To load the game, your browser connects to some third-party services. Like any website, these services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page you visited:

• Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts provides the fonts. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• ESPN's image servers provide team logo images.
• Analytics: we may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or track you across websites.

4. Advertising

We may show ads to keep the game free. Ads may be served by Google (for example, Google AdSense). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the UK or certain U.S. states), we will ask for your consent before using cookies for advertising.

5. Sharing your career card

If you click "Share on X", the game opens X (formerly Twitter) with a pre-written message, and your career card image is downloaded to your device. Nothing is posted unless you choose to post it. Anything you post on X is subject to X's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's privacy

Gridiron Career is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your choices and rights

Because your game data stays in your browser, you control it: you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding personal information held by the third-party services listed above. Please contact those services directly to exercise those rights.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
